La Barra/Likin Spot Guide

La Barra is a jetty and river mouth spot south of Iztapa. The right is the main wave and gets long and hollow. The left tends to close out and dead ends into the rocks. La Barra is best at low to medium tides on large swells to avoid intense rip currents from the river. It can be a challenging break, but consistent and one of the best in the area. There is lesser quality, but more beginner-friendly beach breaks in the area.
