Melbourne Beach Spot Guide

There is plenty of parking at Melbourne Beach, unlike Satellite Beach to the north, where parking is a challenge. The sand shifts constantly, changing the take off zones all the time. Melbourne Beach is noted for being deeper than other surf spots in Central Florida and less likely to close down on large swells. When the surf is small, it attracts longboarders and beginners. It is best at low tide. More experienced surfers usually head to Sebastian Inlet.
