Punta Ositos Spot Guide

Punta Ositos, also called Punta Lobos, is an exposed reef and right-hand point break a couple of miles from El Cardon. It is one of the famed Seven Sisters, a group of point breaks along this stretch of Baja coastline. While Punta Ositos can get some southerly swells, the spot works best on a west or northwest swell due to blockage of south swells by Isla Cedros and the landmass surrounding Bahia Tortugas, terminating at Punta Eugenia to the south. Like most of the 7 Sisters, it is a long, brutal drive that will uncover any weaknesses in your vehicle and may loosen some nuts & bolts along the way. There are no services anywhere nearby. A four-wheel drive vehicle in good condition, plenty of water, supplies and gas, and a healthy sense of adventure is recommended.
