Punta Maria Spot Guide

Punta Maria is the next surf spot south of Punta Cono and is part of the series of Baja point breaks called the Seven Sisters. These Baja surf spots are best on large west or northwest swells. South swells are blocked by Isla Cedros and the landmass surrounding Bahia Tortugas, terminating Punta Eugenia to the south. Like all of the 7 Sisters, Punta Maria is a right point break, but is generally more fickle and smaller than it's sisters due to it's narrower swell window. Like most of the 7 Sisters, it is a long, brutal drive that will uncover any weaknesses in your vehicle and may loosen some nuts & bolts along the way. There are no services anywhere nearby. A four-wheel drive vehicle in good condition, plenty of water and gas, and a healthy sense of adventure is recommended.
