Toro de Oro Spot Guide

Toro de Oro is a fickle righthand point break that can be seen as you head to and from Punta Mango by boat. The main break is a long, walling wave with steep drops if the sections are connecting, and a somewhat dangerously rocky hazard, if they are not. The wave at Toro de Oro is best on a large south to southwest swell. If it’s too small the waves pull surfers into the sharp rocky shore. There is a beach break that offers a shorter ride, which is smaller and less sketchy.
