Walton Rocks Spot Guide

There was once a long jetty at Walton Rocks that was one of the hot surf spots in the area. The Hutchinson Island Nuclear Power Plant decommissioned that jetty and now what remains is a fickle, sloppy, and sometimes perilous break. The reefs are shallow and although the power plant doesn’t pose much of a threat, the warm waters attract lots of fish and sharks. Walton Rocks surf can occasionally get good on a strong North, Northeast swell.
