Dania Beach Pier Spot Guide

Dania Beach Pier is about 6 miles south of Fort Lauderdale on Florida’s southern coast. It’s usually more consistent than other surf spots in the area, but somewhat unpredictable wave quality due to the ever-changing sandbars. On big storm or hurricane swells, Dania Beach Pier's outside reef can send powerful lefts peelers back toward the pier. You can surf the sandbar spots on the south side, but not too close. Surfing isn’t allowed on the north side at all.
