Cahuita Spot Guide

Cahuita is a small town south of Limon on the Caribbean side. It’s a great hub for exploring the surf in the area and is near one of the most exotic national parks in Costa Rica. The main beach is Black Beach or Playa Negra. The black sand beach usually has an average beach break that can hold a large swell when the surf’s up. Big swells stir up nice hollow outside spots and there’s a reef/ledge that can get good, but only when it is really big. Salsa Brava is south of here.
