Byron Bay Spot Guide

Byron Bay, in New South Wales, is a mainstay of Australian surfing. It is speckled with consistent beach breaks and right-hand point breaks on the north, east, and south-facing beaches. Byron Cape is the easternmost part of Australia and known for its surfing history and almost year-round swells. The Pass is one of the most famous breaks, a long, epic right on the north side of the Cape. The Wreck and Main Beach are also Byron Bay favorites that produce consistent surf.
